Moving in Fort Washington: What to Expect
Fort Washington runs along the Potomac in the county's southwest corner, larger homes on wooded lots, waterfront properties, and easy reach to National Harbor and the Beltway. Some lots have long or sloped driveways, so we scout the access and plan the carry, then keep a Fort Washington move on schedule coming and going.
What to line up for a Fort Washington move
- Waterfront and hillside lots can have steep or long driveways
- Larger homes mean more volume and a bigger crew
- The Beltway and Wilson Bridge can add drive time on some days

Three ways to shave time off the day
- Point out a long, steep, or waterfront driveway when you book
- Book a crew sized to a larger home
- Give us the address early so we plan the drive
Three Steps to Moving Day
From your first phone call to the last box set down in the right room.
Give Us the Details
Walk us through your move by phone, on a quick video call, or through the form. Back comes a flat price in writing, not a soft estimate that grows once the truck is loaded.
Reserve Your Date
Pick your day and we line up the right crew and truck, then file the DC no-parking permit, the building COI, or the freight-elevator reservation your move calls for.
We Do the Heavy Lifting
One lead runs the whole job, wrap, load, drive, and place, with our own DMV crew, and we plan the loading around the Beltway so the day does not slip.
Moving Services in Fort Washington
One of our own crews carries it the whole way, first call to final box, and nothing is brokered out.

Darius and his crew were FANTASTIC! They moved all our items with care on short notice. Darius is very responsive and makes sure the service you receive best suits your needs. He recommended that we add an additional person for a 5-man crew to save money by reducing the hours needed, and he had a truck large enough to hold all our items and more. Our move was complete sooner than I thought. He and his team are so professional and I would recommend them to anyone moving in the DMV. This is also one of the only Black-owned moving companies we found in our search, which was a major plus for us.
Infinite Enterprise Movers were professional! They moved me from Clinton to Bowie. Thank you very much!
We used Infinite Enterprise Movers on Monday and they were amazing!!! Showed up on time with three guys and were so careful with all of our furniture. They wrapped all the big pieces with blankets so nothing was damaged. They were polite and had great attitudes. 5 out of 5 stars for sure! Highly recommend.

Questions We Hear a Lot
Do you move within Fort Washington?
Yes, from the waterfront to the newer subdivisions. Fort Washington moves go at our flat hourly rate, the figure set in writing, and we plan the driveway and the drive ahead. Out-of-state moves are priced on weight and the miles.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Infinite Enterprise Movers carries household-goods authority for Maryland, DC, and Virginia and full insurance, and every job runs with our own crew from start to finish, no broker taking a cut in the middle. Ask for the authority and coverage details and we will run through valuation with you before you commit.
Do I need a parking permit for the moving truck in DC?
For most District addresses, yes, and we take care of it. DC requires temporary Emergency No Parking signs so the truck can sit legally at your curb, and we file for them ahead of your date. On blocks where a permit is not needed we still scout the spot so the crew is not circling for parking on move day.
My place is a historic row house with narrow stairs. Is that a problem?
Not for us. We move plenty of the row houses and brownstones on Capitol Hill, in Georgetown, and around Shaw, where the stoops are steep, the staircases turn tight, and there is no driveway in sight. We measure the doorways, pad the rails and jambs, and hoist or hand-carry whatever will not make the corner.
Will you handle the packing?
As much or as little as you care to hand off. The entire place? We will box it top to bottom. Just the kitchen and the wall art? That works too. We bring proper cartons and paper, write the room on every box, and can unpack you on the far end once the truck is cleared out.
Can you move a piano, a gun safe, or a pool table?
Definitely, and by a crew that does this every single week. Uprights and grands, a heavy gun safe, a slate pool table, a family heirloom, a framed canvas, each one goes on the proper board or dolly with the right straps and blankets, and we build a fitted crate any time a piece is worth it.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Not a problem. Reschedule or cancel with at least a day or two’ notice and your deposit comes back whole. Each of these terms is laid out plainly on your booking, so nothing is left in doubt.
